Megabass, Orochi X10, this one is the 6'6'' destruction model. Destruction sounds pretty menacing and this rod does feel pretty menacing. Surprisingly, it's tiny, it's a 6'6" and in today's baitcaster world that seems extremely short to me. Old school length of 6/'6'' but very interesting in the baitcaster is 6'6'' heavy power and this is a moderate action, double footed guides all the way down the blank. Pretty crazy, this thing's a little baby swim bait rod, baby by size but you could throw some pretty heavy stuff on this thing. If you're a bank beater and you're running around on the bank and you've got over hanging trees around you or obstacles to go cast around, talk about a killer little swim bait rod for that. If you're someone like me with a shorter bass boat, not wanting to put 8 foot rods and 1 1/2 foot rods in there and I don't throw swim baits 8 ton. I'm not one of those people that's going to lie to you and say that I'm a hardcore swim baiter and I do it all the time. I rarely throw a swim bait. This is kind of like a killer rod to have in your boat ready to go for those situations. Around maybe close quarters battle stuff around cover, be cool for that or just if you just want a short heavy power rod for lots of stuff. I've heard a lot of people on the internet discussing that or read a lot of people on the internet discussing that. On that note, this rod did come in and we waited at 4.5 ounces. These oroches are made out of all organic fiber. The blank makeups are a little different than the other rods. They do come out and make the blank look a little bit rounder and diameter, a little bigger in diameter, almost like glass material would look but they do have the feel, I shouldn't say the feel so much as they have the actions and the weights of graphite rods. It's really impressive stuff here and new material. It does feel a little bit different than graphite than traditional graphite material but the actions are dead on and I'm actually growing more and more fond of them than I play with them. Let's go bend this 6-6 heavy power regular action megabass destruction. Megabass, oroche X-10 6-6 destruction. This rod is rated at heavy power at a medium fast, sorry regular action, so slow moderate action and it is slow moderate action. That's exactly what it stated and it is powerful. Not as powerful as I expected. I thought it would be a little stiffer than this. It's a little bit more to be in line with a medium heavy plus, a little bit st outer. I get why they're rated at heavy because it leans more a little bit that way but I don't know. I expected it to be stiffer. This would be a really fun rod for exactly what a lot, I think a few people out there before I ever saw this thing said this would be a great frog rod. I could see why. This thing would be a killer rod. It's light enough and it's short enough and feels a lot of fun to kind of fish smaller frogs and kind of sparse open water with it. Bigger boot tail swimbaits or anything you want to skip that would be really big and oversized. This thing would be a blast to fish with. I like glide bait rods or swim bait rods in general that have a little bit more of a softer feel to them. I don't like really stiff heavy overpowering rods for those kind of baits. I'm not that good at working them. I don't fish them all the time. I use them in use case scenarios as I'm fishing throughout the day. This thing being a really fun rod to hold on to and fish with would make it more my style. It's a little short for my taste but I know there's a lot of people out there that are looking for shorter heavy power rods. If you're in the market for a heavy power rod under 7 feet long you need to check out the 6/6 destruction in the Mega Bass Orochi X10 lineup. (upbeat music)
