Another rod near and near to my heart is the new Tatula Elite Cory Johnston flipping stick. Well, it's actually not called a flipping stick. It's flipping small jigs. So I do that a lot myself. A lot of the jigs in my arsenal have been downsized quite a bit. I think a lot of us are doing that as anglers with all the pressure these days, downsizing our jigs. Corey made a rod specifically for that. Obviously, it can be a little bit more versatile than that. This is a heavy power fast action rod. So remember that top third of the rod lengths with bending. But we got a little bit more power here than his other rod that he designed in a 7'5" medium-heavy. So you're gonna have a little bit more backbone here. So it should get into that backbone faster even though it's got a fast tip just like the other one. When you pull back on it, this should be a little bit more rigid rod. So it drives that hook home a little faster, better for brush guarded jigs and things of that nature.
This rod has got a full core candle just like his other medium heavy version in this series of rods. I like that a lot myself. I know a lot of anglers are different tasting that. Hence why the Tatule Elite line has been so popular because all the pros design them exactly the way they want them. Different handles for each angler if they so choose. And then all the blanks are specifically designed by that angler for those techniques. So like I said, small flipping jigs here's what he's got here. So good grass fishing rod, good jig offshore jig rod if you're throwing small little jigs, but you're running some bigger line and you're around some cover and you need some meat to move them. Check out this Cory Johnston 7' heavy fast action small jig flipping stick. Oof. This one's got some meat.
