We tried a bunch of different lures, but the bass wanted Senkos. Finding green vegetation around 7 1/2 feet of water worked the best.

This outing was for 11/2/2024. Fished from about 930 to 245. Water temp was 50 to 51, and air temp started about 40 and got up to the low 50s. Winds were light out of the south. Water was pretty low compared to my last couple outings here. Fishing was a bit slow, but over caught 6 bass ranging from 12 to 19 inches. Caught 4 flipping reeds and cattails with a Dbomb in black and blue. Also caught a couple on a drop shot in about 8 feet of water around weed edges. Water was starting to clear up fom the summer green color. Overall beautiful day of early November fishing.

Nov. 5, 2023. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Breezy. Not a lot of bites on the lake on this day but caught some keepers on blade baits over the weeds. Caught ours in about 6-7ft of water, over some curly leaf pond weed that was still green. I was using a stop-n-go retrieve, about 2-3 cranks, then letting fall on slack line, then repeating.

After a slow, cold late fall Minnesota start, I switched to my go-to confidence bait. The Z-Man Big Blade Chatterbait Bluegill. The sun came up and got more prominent. The wind came up and broke up the quiet top water. All at the same time I approached an area that was an inside corner for structure. The fish were stacked in submerged weeds that were still green. BAM! The fish turned on!

Largemouth ate well this morning. However, would not eat with live bait on. Dropping this jig down plain got me 4 bass an hour from 7 am to 11 am. Probably best bass day through ice I have ever had.

11/08/2021. Mostly cloudy. Water temp 49 to 51 degrees. With my boat in about 10-12 ft of water on the north shore I found coon-tail that's still green. With blade baits I was able to catch bass with stop-and-go retrieve - cranking 4-5 seconds then dropping down to hit the weeds, and repeating.
