I was fishing the Caffeine Shad weightless around lily pads targeting points and pockets. The Caffeine Shad has a subtle wiggle to it when dead sticked that the fish can’t stand!

Made probably 15 casts, then made my final cast and sat on my phone. Next thing I knew I had a fish on, just sitting on bottom. Crazy fish but definitely fun.🫡🐟

A few bites, but got em good with the KVD rage bug, definitely thinking the legs are definitely kicking out some vibration, attracting the big bass. And thank god to the redline hooks, crazy stout and really pinned em.

Water level was low for this time of year with a lot of surface algae. Fish were in the further pads off the bank, using the shade when the sun was high. Not many bites for the amount of water I covered.

Submerged wood seemed to bring the best results. Some drop shot, some rigged weedless. Bites were few, but the lake yielded 5, largest being 4 lbs. with some 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. for good measure.
