Great day of fishing in the rain. Fish were located in shallow creeks along the edges of vegetation adjacent to creek channel. Caught 10+ bass over 2 pounds with the largest going 5+.

Slow rolling a spinnerbait through the reeds got me a few good bites.

Slow rolled jackhammer just fast enough for blades to vibrate over submerged grass in 4-5’ of water. Caught several this way that day. Spunk Shad does a great job making the chatterbait “hunt”

Took my time fishing through coves of lily pads with just a standard green frog. Sunny conditions, very slight breeze

Key targets were boulders and rock piles in 4ft.-10ft. flats leading into spawning pockets. Banging the bait into the rocks triggered the bite.

Water level was high. Key targets were overhanging trees with easy deep water access nearby. My best bites came when I skipped the jig as far back to the bank as I could. The fast gear ratio on the curado was key to catching up with the fish because they would run straight at the boat trying get to the deep water

Great bait that swims and falls with action. Very versatile around different types of structure and flat out gets bit!

I threw big glides all over spawning areas and all them dudes would eat was the badger. Focused on 5-10’ and smashed on some 4lb class fish. Then the wind picked up and killed everything, patience included

A rare break in our hurricane winds sent me out for four hours of HOT fishing. Wind dropped to a perfect 5-10mph and I caught over a dozen in short order. Most ate the jackhammer with menace grub and a few ate the largo shad with divine underspin, all came in 5 feet or less, some tucked up real tight to shore. Have fun y’all!

Caught this 6.76 pound largemouth in early spring on a black and blue Chatterbait. The most important thing I found was varying the retrieval speed and popping your rod tip once or twice per cast. The fish were up shallow on gravely areas.

Ned Rigs work amazing here, particularly 1/8oz with a zman trd craw in mudbug color. Also, wacky or T-rig senkos in a watermelon red color will get bit when the bite slows to a crawl. Swim jigs work well along the grass beds and pickerel grass. The larger bass typically suspend over slight ledges along main lake points here. Have had success with larger swimbaits as well, in particular a savage gear RTF 6” pulsetail trout along the ledge by the Loons nest. Average suspended depth for these bass is between 3-10’. These fish also tend to key on either junebug or anything with a red flash in it.

Insane combo and super deadly around rockpiles!
