Weeds were choking the flooded timber, but boat or kayak is able to glide over the water plants to get back to where the bass were hanging in shallower water.

Fish was in 2 ft of 46 degree water just goes to show how ready these big largies are to move up shallow after a long winter. Been a rough one for sure but with the sun out for the first time in a long time they were in 2-7 ft of water and ready to bite any spinnerbait or chatterbait that got in front of their faces

fishing the chain lakes with a swim jig is always a good place to start and find fish. you can switch around with trailers but a craw is usually best for me. water in the mid to upper 60's .
