First topwater of the year. Megabass pop max in a white like color worked well. Entrance to coves, early morning. Dropshot later on points and mid cove with Shimano mastiff line. Very sensitive line.

Only found a few in ~12’. The lake has come up 22’ in the last month and there is a lot of boat activity. It is hard to say where the bass are in the spawn but the ones I caught will still fat and did not have bloody tails so assuming still pre-spawn

Fish on points. Appear to be some post and current spammers. 5-12 ft. Zman chatterbait in firecraw worked. Dropshot with roboworms got bit as well. Loving this new Shimano mastiff flourocarbon line. Casts like a dream.

Went out early and it was calm with a lot of bait busting. Only caught 1 over a small channel in 25’ on a walking bait (thought it actually was a striper). There was a lot of white bass and carp activity but the bass seemed lethargic. I did not get any bites on swimbaits or drop shots.

Rain and cold. Temp fell to 57 degrees. Tried my new Krej in blue vapor in 15-10 ft at entrances to coves and main lake points. Nothing on beds. Worked it like a jerkbait mad let it fall for3-5 seconds. Caught several. I’m a fan of the Krej! Also caught a few on the roboworm 6” in morning dawn with a 1/4 oz tungsten weight and size 1 owner hook. 10-15 ft. Once it warms up they should move up on the beds.

New lake for me! Found some good fish in 6-10’ on the flats but the flooded brush. Challenging avoiding getting hung up on the brush - switched to TX rigged drop shot and that helped.

Only caught 2 but decent size (especially for Bartlett). Did not see any bait or much fish activity at all. The inconsistent weather seems to have scatter the fish a bit.

Caught a group in 4-6’ in a ditch along a flat on a dropshot. Some others were found in 10-14’ on dropshot and a jig. Caught one additional on Ned in 6’ on a flat.

The bass were hanging in the tops of submerged trees and brush in the mouths of coves. The trees were in 20 plus feet of water, but the tops were around to feet underwater. The jerkbait was bringing them up. It was a 2 jerk, 1-2 second pause. I was spotting them with my Livescope and then fan casting the area.

Still cold water but getting warmer. Megabass 110 jr +1 in back of Humbug cove caught a few 2-3 lb’s. 10-18 ft of water off of structure. Later on dropshot roboworms in same depth. Pumpkin punisher worked for us.

Fish are on beds, sight fishing is the go to technique. There are some big fish so up your line weight. Look for clear water
