It was a cool, partially cloudy day with calm water. I started the morning with some topwater. But I didn't have any luck with that. I then tried throwing a couple of jerkbaits and some swimbaits, but nothing wanted to commit. I then tied on a dropshot and was piecing out some vegetation when I finally got a bite. This fish was small, but at least I caught something.

It was a warm fall day, so I took the kayak put and was throwing some baits around and kind of just getting a feel for it. I anchored parallel to a point with a steep drop off and started swimming around the dark sleeper and ended up catching one.

It was a warm fall day quite calm on Lake Michigan fishing a pier with a rock breakwall in Portage indiana. We were not getting any bites using moving baits, so we slowed it down and threw a larger worm wacky rigged. It took a couple of casts but finally got a good one to take the bait.

I was fishing off a dock in the fall blue skies and calm water. Next to the dock, they had sunk some Christmas trees for structure, and I started ripping a red eye shad lipless around them, and then this guy hit it and gave up a good little fight.

It was a nice fall day overcast and a breeze. I was on the Indiana side of the lake, fishing a small dock. I tied on the red-eye shad lip less crankbait and was swimming it in between the boat slips and finally got a bite. This lake is pretty shallow and has a soft bottom, so fishing sometimes is tough from shore.

Slow rolling a chatterbait through deeper weed lines. If you get a miss hit go back in a few minutes and try it again. That process paid off significantly for me.

slow dragging the tube and popping it through the weeds to get a strike on the tube rigged "stupid tube" style to help it stay weedless. Moving the bait as slow as possible was key to keeping in contact with the bottom.

Lily Pads
Throwing chatterbait into the gaps in the lillypads and bringing it out to the edge then they would bite it. The deeper in the pads you went initially the better chance they would come out. They would not hit topwater.
