Was fishing Pelican lake the week of Aug. 22nd - Sept 2nd. We were able to catch some fish on moving baits but most came on slower presentations. Most fish came on big boulders around weeds or if we found big rock outcroppings sticking off points or islands that extended out into weeds. The key seemed to find any large rock structure surrounded by weeds and most were in 2-8 feet of water. We were able to catch some fish on a Terminator walking frog or an Outcast tackle heavy cover swim jig with Berkley chigger bug as a trailer. But we caught most of our fish with finesse presentations. A neko rigged Zoom trick worm or a small 3" craw on a 1/8oz jig head produced the most fish.
