This past week we had a huge warming trend which was odd but pretty typical Wisconsin weather. Although main lake was 46-47 degrees up in the shallow "flats" many fish were seen to be cruising up shallow chasing gills, as well as minnows. I ditched my 10XD as well as my flutter spoon and starting throwing a search-bait. In this case it was a chatter bait but can be anything that can be easy through and cover water throughly and effectively. I used prior knowledge I had gained on Lake Guntersville and was winding as fast as I could to create a "Rage reaction". These fish are still pre-pre spawn so they aren't really hungry but would swipe at a bait if it annoys them enough.
