I fished the Bassmaster National Kayak Trail tourney on Lake Fork. This was just after a giant cold front and ice storm so the bite was extremely off, air temps in the teens and water temps in upper 40s. With lake level so low and cold temps, I was looking for any kind of structure that could provide cover, ambush points and warm in the sun of the day a bit. I found success slow rolling a Bassman spinnerbait along long stretches of riprap and bridge and road foundations. I was focused on long stretches that would warm up in sun with a southerly and eastern facing structure. Bass were along drop offs near structure in 5 to 9 feet of water.
