The Alabama Rig works on Lake Amistad when the fish are suspended. Count the A-rig down and run it just above the depth the fish are suspending. In December I found the suspending at 20 feet in 40-80 foot deep areas around points and bluff walls. A slow steady retrieve momentary pauses will trigger bites. Keitech swimbaits are the standard for the Alabama rig. 1/8 oz Squadron heads are good hooks to use with this setup.
