United States Shipping Policy

We know you have options when purchasing fishing gear and we appreciate your business. 

Although our focus is bringing you the best features and technology for a map-based and personalized shopping experience we also want to be the best most affordable online fishing gear retailer on earth. 

*Standard shipping is via USPS Priority and UPS Ground. All orders receive a tracking number.

Orders placed before 1PM Central will ship the same business day (Monday-Friday)

Canada (PLEASE NOTE: WE’RE NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO SHIP TO CANADA)

When back in service - All Canadian orders ship via FedEx Ground International (2-5 day transit time)

No US Taxes are included within your shipments however you will be responsible for any additional customs fees, duties and/or taxes subject to Canadian policies.

Canadian duty & tax details from the US to Canada:

• Up to CAN$40: duty and tax free
• Above CAN$40 to $150: duty free, but taxes still apply
• Above CAN$150: duties and taxes apply

International

All International orders will include a $20 shipping fee. International orders ship FedEx Ground International, however we can ship with USPS upon request. Delivery time will vary depending on your location.

Applicable duties, taxes, and/or brokerage fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Orders

You will receive an email confirmation after we have successfully received your order. Please confirm your shipping address before placing your order - we are unable to make changes once the order has left our warehouse. Your confirmation email will include your order number and shipping method selected. 

Orders will be processed and ready for shipment the same day the order is placed as long as we received it by 1 PM Central US time (Monday-Friday). Once your order is prepared for shipment you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information. 

In some cases, your order may arrive in multiple shipments (i.e., items that require drop shipment from the manufacturer and orders that contain tackle and rods/reels in the same order).

Taxes

Applicable sales tax will be charged on merchandise total, where applicable. Taxes are calculated according to shipping destination and are itemized on the order slip.

Returns

All non-defective merchandise is subject to a 15% restock fee. Special orders may not be returned. All returns or exchanges must be accompanied by the original sales receipt. Items paid for by check and or cash will be refunded via company check within 10 business days. All returned merchandise is subject to in-store credit after 15 days from purchase date. Customer is responsible for shipping costs of retuned items. All merchandise is subject to manufactures warranty after 30 days from original purchase.

REDO FREE RETURN SHIPPING (available in US only):

- By selecting Redo Free Return Shipping at checkout, your shipping cost will be covered on returns.
- The Redo Free Return Shipping + Package Protection cannot be removed from an order once the order has been placed.

Refund Policy:

A refund will be issued once we have received and inspected your returned items. Please note that any products that arrive damaged, used, or not in their original condition are not eligible for a refund. In such cases, the items will be shipped back to you at your expense.

Custom Rod Warranty (Provided by Thorne Bros, LLC)

Thorne Bros stands behind their workmanship. If your rod breaks within 1 year of the date of purchase, they will replace it - No charge. After 1 year the rod will be rebuilt at a minimum of $60.00. Proof of purchase is required for all warranties. Breakage caused by misuse is not covered under this warranty at any time. Shipping and handling will be the customer's responsibility.

Redo Shipping Insurance:

Due to the increase in damaged and lost packages we have given the option to buy shipping protection through our service, Redo. If Redo protection is declined at checkout, Thorne Bros is not responsible for damaged or lost packages from our shipping carriers or after it’s been delivered to your address and confirmed by the carrier. 

We highly recommend you use Redo Shipping Protection on any fishing rod order due to the fragile nature of the item in the shipping process.
