Valid Entries

Submitted entries will be accepted or denied at the sole discretion of the Omnia Virtual Derby judges.

This event is for bass only and is strictly catch and release. All fish must be caught with a rod and reel using artificial lures only. No team fishing allowed - a single angler must catch and measure all fish in their best 5.

A Tournament Identifier Image will be supplied with event registration. The identifier image must be in the photo with each of your catches. Your photo must include a rigid Ketch fish measuring device, with ruler marks must be easily legible in your photo submission.

Failure to include this Tournament identifier, properly displayed on the Ketch board will disqualify your entry.

Photo Submission Details and Tips

Here are some guidelines and tips to make sure your submissions are accepted.

  • Fish should be positioned on board with the head of the fish facing left, dorsal fin to the top of the photo.
  • Your measuring board must have a black line at the zero point. For darker metal Ketch boards, you can mark a white line in that spot.
  • The correct, entire Tournament Identifier must show in the photo.
  • Length will only be counted to the lowest 1/4” where the judge can see the tail touching ruled lines from the manufacturer on the board.
  • The entire front end of your measuring board should show in your photo and not be cut off.
  • The mouth of the fish should be closed and touching the front bump lip on your board.
  • The tail should be touching flat against the board.
  • Clean your measuring board so it is easily readable by the Tournament Director.

Boundaries

You can fish any public body of water in the contiguous 48 US states.  No private ponds, private lakes, or bodies of water with no public access.

For the purposes of selecting winners, 2 regions have been established:

Region 1 (FL, TX, OK, LA, MS, AL, GA and CA)

Region 2 (AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY)

To be eligible to be declared the Region 2 winner, ALL of the angler’s submitted catches must be located entirely within Region 2 states.

Valid Entry Dates

You may fish and submit entries between 12:01AM 5/22 and 11:59PM 6/16. All fish entries must be submitted before the deadline, regardless of potential issues with internet connectivity.

Tournament Communication

By registering for the event, anglers agree to receive communication from Omnia and from TourneyX related to the event including submission feedback, key tournament dates, and results.

Anglers can optionally sign up for Omnia Fishing marketing emails if they choose.

By submitting photos as part of the event, anglers grant TourneyX and Omnia Fishing the right to publish them publicly for the purpose of the live leaderboard feature and other marketing materials.

Local Regulations

Safety
