Grand Lake Spring Fishing Tournament
The water was still relatively cold and bass were in the process of moving shallower to spawn. There were two dominant approaches to catching spring-time bass in Tulsa, OK on Grand Lake.
The first being with the enhancements of forward facing sonar. Anglers spent time looking for fish with their graphs and targeted them with a jerkbait. There was also a group of anglers who had the traditional spring-time fishing approach, which is to cover water and focus on high percentage areas. Flat sided crankbaits were used to cover water and a jig was a dominating factor when picking apart high percentage areas.
