Tough bite. Post spawn and a pretty extreme cold front for mid-June. Take off temp was 47 degrees. Small club derby and bite was so slow over half the field didn’t weigh in a limit. We were able to get a few bites along weed edges with both spinnerbait and chatter bait but drop shot produced the most bites for our boat. Fishing both inside and outside weed edges anywhere from 2-8 feet.

Watch the shorelines for hard bottom areas of sand, put your trolling motor down and follow the shoreline. Cast right up to where water meets the shoreline. Watch for beds if you can see them, the water is very murky. I like to use a braid and tie a short piece of mono to it about 5’ -8’ long and tie directly to the bait. If you pick up a weed, just give it a quick jerk to clear it and sometimes you will get a hit at that time. Good Luck!
