Targeting shallow cover (stumps) in 0-9ft of water with a Lucky Craft shallow diving crankbait. The key to the bite was making sure the Crankbait makes contact with the Stumps.

The bite came right at dusk using a variety of sizes and colors of the 6th Sense Divine Swimbait. Use a weedless weighted hook and vary the retrieve speed with a few jerk, pause rod movements.

Tried a number of techniques over a very long day. Only had about 3 solid hookups by eventually throwing the swim bait rigged weedless into the thick submerged vegetation. They all came with a large side salad.

Decided to try something completely different and fished this lake without even knowing if there were any good bass there. The morning started with a decent breeze and I was throwing a jack hammer in the submerged weeds. It took a while but eventually caught a chubby 16” bass. That got my hopes up. Fished a shoreline that was a little out of the wind and threw a buzz bait to the shore and worked it over the open spots of the topped out weeds. Managed to catch a few really nice ones. All were close to 18” and FAT. Then fished the wind blown side and caught a few more pulling the jack hammer through submerged weeds again. Was fishing in about 5 to 10 foot of water, outside the thick weeds. Pretty good lake for quality, not so much quantity.

Very hot and sticky morning fishing. We hit the water a bit after 6:30. Virtually no wind as well. We started near the bowl on the north end of the lake throwing various stuff and caught a small keeper and a lot of little ones on wacky's, neds, small cranks, and a jerkbait. Decided to start moving around the lake to see what else we could find. Hit the west end and picked up a 3.5lb'er on a jig and started getting onto a jig bite. Moved over to the east side to run down the longer ledge/weed line after catching more dinks on the north line. We picked up several other keepers on the jig bite or ned during the rest of the morning. Overall had a bit over a 12lb bag by the time we got off the water. The pleasure boaters came out at 11:00 and ran us off the water.

Pulling a jig slowly through brush, giving it a good hop/pop once you come over a branch. Patience is key. Some days they want the smaller presentations, other days they don't. It's been working all summer for me so far.

My success with a frog was literally zero until I got this Toad Thumper! Walking it with the Cara Amistad along the outside edge of thick vegetation. Boom!

Today was a fantastic day on the water with my clients during a half-day morning trip on Green Lake, Wisconsin. Despite the overcast skies, the fishing conditions were excellent. We located several pods of baitfish and worked them effectively using drop shots and tube baits. The fish were aggressive and active, making for an exciting morning. One of the highlights of the trip was a client landing his very first smallmouth bass—his smile said it all! In just a few hours, we boated big northern pike, rock bass, and some great smallmouth. It was an action-packed outing, and I couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. Looking forward to seeing these clients again soon for more time on the water!

Just throwing at some dink bass during my lunch break. 2" paddle tail minnow on an underspin never fails! Longear sunfish and some little crappy we're getting after it as well. I just picked up the Dobyns Kadens from an Amazon sale (sorry Omnia) and though it is rated for 1/16oz lures, I think throwing 1/8oz is much more comfortable/will net much better casting distance.

The bite was really tough on the ledges today but managed to catch some fish with slower presentations like a drop shot, bigger shakey head, and a football jig. The TVA was not pulling much current today. Big fish was 4.38lbs.
