Water temps still hovering around 45 degrees. Last trip of the year. Water had risen about 2 feet from the recent heavy storms but was still very clean. Caught them on tubes, Berkley Fritz Side and Rapala DT 6 in the Demon color.

I fished laydowns located along the outside bends of Wolf River. Fish were tight to cover in the areas that provided the most current break.

I cranked the riprap shoreline parallel to the channel bank. I also caught fish using a DT 6, but had better success with the Dime as it had rattles vs silent.

River crappie love to be near wood this time of year. I cut the creature hog down to make a compact presentation.

Water temps right around 50 degrees still. Fish were suspended over main river channel. Caught nicest smallmouth on an umbrella rig, but eventually fished channel swing humps with a DT 6 and even slower with a black and blue jig bumping bottom over the same rocky humps. The jig was the most productive of all the lures I tried. Should have mixed in a jerkbait, but I'll save that for next time.
