The bite was pretty slow. Softer than usual with the smallmouth. Fished the rocky areas where the weeds were just off the bank. Slow popping retrieve did the trick

The catfish spawn at Willard Bay Reservior usually beginning mid-June till about mid-July. In 2 hours I was able to catch my limit of 8 catfish every trip I went. Use a worm and bobber set up with a 3.5 feet leader between the hook and bobber. Cast parallel to the rocks and let the waves drift the bobber in. Hold onto your pole because they often will hit as it drifts right into the rocks. Fish 9-11 AM and 3-8PM, these are the times that I found best. I highly recommend a strong hook as it will help in hooksets. Lastly, I encourage you to take some catfish home to eat as they are the cleanest catfish you will find anywhere in Utah.

Fished from 7 ish till after dark set in. Fished the north marina off the kayak, pitching baits in towards brush, and around docks. Lots of little smallmouth bass, but a eater crappie off the Berkley Flicker shad.

Slower retrieve seemed to get more bites. Fishing was slow but good. Caught 6 or 7 in a few hrs
