Stumps
It was tough for me early in the morning. I got to the lake right at first light and tried topwater (buzzbaits, frog, spook, etc) up the creek and nothing. Then I tried cranking the dam with squarebills and mid depth crankbaits and no dice there either. I finally found some mostly submerged stumps towards the back of a pocket and found fish really tight to the wood. My guess is if I would’ve spent some time fishing some of the offshore brush piles I would’ve had more success as I was marking a lot of fish around the stumps with my 360.

Rip Rap
The OG Slim saved the day once again! Couldn’t get bit anywhere else with the wind than a calmer rip rap bank and the OG Slim helped me pull out a nice 17 incher.

There were some fry in the backwaters. Fish were hidden in weeds. Road bed was good for other anglers on west side. Neko seemed to work the best getting a reaction bite along edge of weed beds.
