Hit off rock pile, slow rolling rapala shad past point/drop off. Let sink about 2-3’ before retrieval. Shad run cooled off but they’re still attacking.

Juvenile largie. Casting about 10-15’ off shore at a 6-7’ drop off. Slow retrieving and bouncing off bottom. Occasionally letting fall with a couple of twitches then continuing. Hit about 5’ from shore, 3-4’ of water.

The waters starting to warm and the big pre-spawn smallmouths are starting to roam the shallows feeding on bait fish hanging around submerged vegetation. Fishing a jerkbait with a slow to medium fast retrieve is a great way to catch some of these big smallmouth bass.
