We had a hot spell lasting 4 days. The 5th day it had colled down a little and I was throwing a crusher football jig in grass craw color with a Rapala crush city craw trailer letting it rest on the bottom slowly pulling it to me then reeling the slack.

Throwing an Og slim actually it was a 6ft crank bait.Slow cranking to chop crank to let it clip the bottom and cause a disturbance. Crappie couldn't resist.

Tried finding the rid I used on her either guess my big game rods are out of date 😄. I used an Ugly stik catfish special casting rod. With a PENN 507 reel with 80lb braid. That fish weighed 55lb. Took me 10 min to get it in the boat if not longer. The Catfish around here go crazy for live bream, and warmouth.
