All together it was an amazing day! Tried several different Strategies and nothing was really working! At day light! Caught a few short fish! Around 10:00 A.M. this morning we were in the back of pocket pitching a jig, and a Texas rig around some laydowns, and fallen brush piles!! My fishing partner caught a 19 1/2" smallmouth! On a rage craw! So we started looking at every pocket we went by to see if there were any fallen trees and graphed around to see what was in the pockets. We put 5 fish in the boat for a total weight of 17.47 lbs.

Tournament morning! Had 119 Boat for the Charity Tournament! I Drew Boat # 71! Started Fishing Main Lack River Channels, and found having really good luck fishing any of Isolated Brush Piles or Big LayDown Logs! Didn’t do any good! Caught 3 nice ones! One was 1/4” short of 18”in.!! The second one was 3/8” short, the last one was 1/16” short, but I couldn’t make the tail sweep 18” For anything! I set him in the live well just a few seconds maybe to relax, but it just would not hit 18”! Had 4 fish for the day. 13.64" for 5 smallmouth.

Practicing for the tournament for the third day! Stuck with the deeper side of the point’s in the main river channel! They were biting anywhere from as soon as it hit the water to 15-18’ foot deep! And the bit never really was there for me! On all my treble hook bait a lot of fish were foul hooked!
