Smallies were caught on top of humps and long points with limited vegetation. They were cruising less than 5 feet and feeding heavily on crawfish. Ned rig worked great. Largemouth were caught on deep weed lines and cuts with suspended panfish, DT 16 and drop shot caught fish.

Using Electronics finding good rocks was important for success. Throwing a jerkbait over them seemed to work best. -Baylor S

Saw a school busting bait and tossed the drop shot in. Those fish are extremely curious and picky and it takes awhile to trick them if impatient. I caught the nice one after the burst of small ones in the beginning happened. Being patient was key.

Found a lot of beds early this week (Tuesday/Wednesday) once that water temp jumped up bigtime. A lot of them were unoccupied, some beds had pairs on it?’, and some the bucks were just making the beds.

The smallmouth were mostly on beds last weekend. I would throw a hair jig around when I would be searching for a bed and then use a dropshot to catch the smallmouth when I found them on a bed. A black hair jig was key as well as a white senko o my dropshot

Kind of a mixed bag of tricks. Water is super clear so finesse and long casts were the keys. Got most of them on the spinning gear and a TRD. A few others on a jerk bait.
