Fishing was slower today, but largemouth could still be found in reeds with hard bottoms. Weather was sunny and hot for September. Shakey head, finesse jigs and flipping jigs produced best results.

Look for the reeds with rice around it. Look for minnows and other baitfish in near the reeds and rice and you will find the bass. If you're not seeing baitfish keep moving until you find them.

Lily Pads
Look for areas of rice that have small lily pad patches reaching the surface. The key ones are the areas of pads that are 20' x 20' and surrounded by rice and other weeds. The pad roots are a little deeper and the bass use the area to nest and hang out. Cast a stickbait into the pockets and let it sink and also a frog over the top is getting fish to blast it.
