Humps
Fished for smallmouth on an offshore hump with a dropshot during the hottest part of the day. Kept breaking off and having to retie so I switched to the nishine finesse jig using various craw trailers with success. Electronics are almost a must to find roving backs of smallmouth bass. There are plenty of rocks for bottom contact baits to get stuck in between, so you have to hop baits and fish a little quicker as well as downsize the weight.

Bite slowed down this week after some cold nights. Smallmouth were biting the small keitech swim bait around rocky ledges dripping from 4-5ft to 12-15ft. I had a few largemouth bites throwing the Mayor swim bait on lite 1/4oz ball head, way up shallow between and around large exposed rock. Most of the bites came in pockets and backs of creek arms.

Fished at night on the humps and the points. Didn't catch much of size and moved back towards the boat ramp. Fish were pushed in shallower towards the insides of points. Like usual I hit lots of rocks and got snagged a bunch.
