Water temp mid 60s, air temp in the 50s. Got on a really fun dock skipping bite on spring tonight. Covered water and fished what was in front of me. When the wind picked up I threw a jackhammer instead.

Fishing report for 5/21/2023. Beautiful day at my grandmas lake. Fishing from a rowboat with no motor or electronics. Bass were definitely spawning and up shallow also with some cruisers. Caught 4 nice bass on borrowed gear.......ugly stick rod......13 reel with eavy braided line in clear water. They still couldn't resist my favorite all terrain jigs that luckily were laying around in my cousins tackle box. Great short outing!

6/1/2024: Good size bass biting in 2' to 8' water depth. We had a few bites with a whopper plopper shallow, in the light rain in the morning. On the inside edge of curly leaf pondweed bass were biting wacky senkos. In the weeds and near the outside weed edge in 8 ft of water I caught a few flipping a t-rigged craw tube. The better size fish, 3lbs, were biting a "chatterbait" near where I've found spawning beds in 2 ft of water.

Nov. 5, 2023. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Breezy. Not a lot of bites on the lake on this day but caught some keepers on blade baits over the weeds. Caught ours in about 6-7ft of water, over some curly leaf pond weed that was still green. I was using a stop-n-go retrieve, about 2-3 cranks, then letting fall on slack line, then repeating.

On October 20th while the water temps were still 63F, a lot of bass were hitting top-water on the north shore of the lake over submerged weeds in 4 ft of water or near the remaining docks.
