Bass are eating just about anything now. Location is key. Find hard bottom areas, ideally with bluegill nearby. Chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, football jigs, ned rigs, drop shot. If you are looking for a new drop shot hook, I highly recommend the Mustad alpha point finesse hook!

Caught my PB largemouth (5.33#) running a black back chart 5XD over a rockpile in 15 FOW. The bass are putting on the feedbags! Put away that dropshot! Moving baits are key right now!

We had a good cold front move in and bring the water temps down. Bass were stacked up on offshore rocks and feeding heavily. Running a white/chartreuse spinnerbait over these rocks was key to getting bit.

South Lindstrom and Chisago can be lights out in the fall, for numbers of fish and big fish. Throw chatterbaits and swim jigs along weed edges. Craw style trailers seem to work better in the fall for me, try dying the claws chartreuse with JJ's. The flipping bite can be good at times as well, flip your typical targets, green remaining weeds, docks and laydowns.

My buddy and I fished South Lindstrom and Chisago today. He caught most of his bass on crankbaits. I used wacky rigged Senkos. We each caught 7 bass. The bass were hanging out in 10 feet of water. For some reason, 11 feet and 12 feet deep didn't work. We targeted isolated weed clumps off the bottom.

Water temps start around 76 in the early morning and creep up to the 80s by afternoon. Bass are biting on almost anything, jigs, poppers, buzzbaits, frogs, ned rigs, drop-shots, crankbaits, etc. However, the best technique was dragging a large texas-rigged worm on hard bottom areas.

Use your graph to find bluegills schooled up out on the weed edges. Back off the edge and toss a chatterbait, spinnerbait, crankbait, swimbait, anything that mimics a bluegill and retrieve it over the top of the weed edge. If the weed edge also has rock nearby, that is even better.
