During a warm winter/early spring day fish will push up in the water column on main lake features. Find a bait that will get down to just above where they are holding and work it slowly back to the boat.

Soon after the largemouth are through spawning on the lake, the Shad will begin to spawn. Target riprap and rock banks with overhanging trees. A white spinnerbait is a perfect bait when this is happening. Fish the first few hours after daylight for the best success.

Lake trout can often be found in 20-40ft of water during the winter, following the schools of baitfish. Jigging a 1/2oz chrome spoon through the baitfish can often produce great results.
