Caught some good ones that morning. Stayed a little deeper that morning and decided to lock the big hair jig in my hand that day and it paid off. If you don't have some large hair jigs in your arsenal, definitely give these a try. Just use a sweeping motion with the rod, and follow the bait down. Because almost all of your bites will come as the bait is falling. Using a longer rod like a 7'6 Md Hvy is a great rod for this type of fishing. And match that with Sufix Advance Flouro in 17lb and you're set.

Very good lake for some bass. Has a lot of smaller fish, but some better sized ones mixed in. Went out here on open water and put big swimbaits in my hand all day long. It is my favorite way to catch prespawn bass, and if you have never tried it. Definitely give the products above a try. All I was doing was working shallow flats with the magdraft, and if I found some isolated cover I would then pick up the S-Waver.
