Just rig up a dropshot, and cast it out over weed lines. I like to rig up the Roboworm Texas rig so that you can pull it through the weeds easily. Just cast, and let it sit for 5 seconds. If you don’t have a fish, just recast. They will usually hit it on the fall.

Target tiger muskie by targering bass. Often times they can be caught in the evening hours near weedlines. These Mustad Alpha Point hooks allow you to target these fish without getting hung up in weeds. Just rig it up, and twitch it near the weedlines. Ive caught three of these in the last 3 days witht he same technique.

Excellent dropshot fishing near docks tonight! Just rig up a finesse rod with these dropshot components and throw where the weed lines meet the docks. There are so many fish at docks right now. Cast within 6” of the docks and let the bait fall to the bottom. Let it sit for 5 second and if you don’t get a bite, reel in and recast. There are multiple 3+lb fish per dock right now.

It’s cold. The fish are moving slowly, so you have to move slowly. During feeding windows, the largemouth will move off of ledges and into the shallows to feed. Target them by throwing a squarebill around stumps and rock piles. Reel just enough to feel the lure action on the end of your rod. Keep moving. The fish stack up this time of year. If you find them, stay in that spot, and you should catch a bunch. Good luck!

Bass are biting early in the morning. Target drop offs, structure and weed edges. Most fish were between 15-25 ft of water.

During these cold winter months, you really need a fish finder with good sidescan capabilities. Look for store drop offs between 0’-15’ (where bass will feed) and 20’-30’ (where they will stay when not feeding). Throw out a deep diving crankbait in these transition areas. I personally love the 6th Sense Cloud 9 C10. It dives between 10-12 feet. You will need to have patience, because your fish are going to be fewer than the spring, summer and fall months. Using a medium to slow retrieve, bring the crankbait back to you while just barely feeling good it’s action at the end of your rod. Often times in these colder months, the bite feels mushy, like someone put a wet rag on the end of your line. Good luck out there!

Water visibility varies throughout the lake from 2'-5'. Boats have churned up the water and there is a lot of debris. This makes site fishing difficult to impossible. I put on a jerkbait to cover as much water as possible and did very well. Fish were really active and biting. Good day.

Tiger Muskies are a sterile cross between Northern Pike and Muskies. They are used by WDFW to control lake forage populations while providing a fun game fish. Todays Water visibility varies throughout the lake from 2'-5'. Boats have churned up the water and there is a lot of debris. This makes site fishing difficult to impossible. I tied on a jerkbait to cover as much water as possible. biting. day.
