Had 4 muskie follows on a shallow crank bait that we were using to imitate a hurt/dying fish. However, we did catch 10, 24 inch+ northerns throughout the day as well. Submerged grasses about 5 feet deep and around docks with baitfish

Work the cattails and bull rushes in the south basin. The fish were right up in the cattails. Needed to cast up tight in order to get bit. Fish wouldn't come our from the cover. Also found a few largemouth on docks in the main lake.

Dock's with a sand or rock bottom seemed to hold the majority of the bass caught. There were some largemouth also on the docks. They would only take the ned rig on a dead stick.

I had a tournament on Shell and it was a little stingy. It took 10lbs to win the bass derby. Not great but we can always do better.

Largemouth were caught on either a wacky rig or a Ned rig fished near Reed and cattails. The docks adjacent to these also held fish.
