Caught several bass (pretty small) on the same rock ledge up buckhorn creek and the cary branch. This rock pile goes from 15 foot depth up to 6 and is close to the shore. Fishing up the ledge and would get bites just about every cast at the top of the ledge on dropshots using small roboworms and kvd worms.

Fishing for the first time on this Reservoir. The bite was tough for both me & my buddy. We were throwing practically everything we had at them, blade baits, soft plastics, micro spinners, small cranks to mention a few! Once we brought out the jerkbaits, things changed for me, at least! I hooked a largemouth bass on a Rapala jerkbait. The Clown color seemed to be what they liked best! The one in the picture weighed a little over 3 pounds!

Third trip to Harris in 2024 and found fish in depths from 15-28. This trip we caught all of our fish in 20-22 setup on smaller bait balls of threadfin. Vertical jigging bladebaits, make sure you’re changing cadence and figure out if they want it fast or slow. This trip was post frontal. Bite window was only 45, from about 10:30-11:15. Look on all main lake points where the creek channel is close and secondary points in major creeks where the channel is close.

They are definitely chasing shad on Harris right now! But what’s different is how small these shad are in the schools. Small swimbaits & jerkbaits seemed to be what worked best! Was still marking fish offshore around 15-25 ft just glued to the bottom under huge schools of shad! Was a tough weekend for fishing though!
