Deep cabbage close to shallow flats. Jerking a bright bait aggressively couldn't keep the pike off. Really fun thing to do when the Big Pond is blowing 20mph. Don't think the smallies aren't in this lake either. Plenty of fish to be caught on a wind protected body of water. Plenty of cabbage to go around so throw the trolling motor on high and cover ground. After you catch one slow down and cover the whole area.

Cloudy morning, south wind, found fish up against the shore as well as offshore pushing baitfish around in the thickest submerged vegetation. Bladed jigs had the most success for bass. Green pumpkin colors seemed to matter today. Fish were mostly keyed in on pinky sized baitfish... perch, minnows, and bluegill. On another note, if you're into bluegill or pike, this would be a lake worth spending a minute on as well.

Weeds are thick almost everywhere. Only thing we got on was small perch.
