Cast into the current and just let it roll down the rocks. Still more in the deeper sections not shallow.

Try to find places with a lot of boulders and throw between them. Usually right along the bank.

Rolling it down the current in between the Rocks should work. You can also throw shallow onto the bank.

The water was high so use a heavier weight and cast into the channel. Let it roll down the rocks.
