Shallow around lay downs, close to cover, slow presentation have to cast to the lay down several times

The bait fish have moved shallow and the bass have followed. The shad are in big schools being pushed into shallow water coves and grass areas. If you can find the shad ball you will be able to find the bass. Look for topwater splashes as an indicator of a shad ball. A lipless crankbait of square bill will get the job done!

Crappie can be found on brush piles and around rocks in the winter months at sangchris. I like brushpile jigs in black and chartreuse or a tube style jig in white and chartreuse. I put them on a 1/16oz plain jig head.

If you can find warm water on the south end of the lake go there. The south arm will provide good fishing during the winter months. I like to use an angler asset spinnerbait or a black and blue jig.

in the summer at Sangchris you will find the fish on deep points or drop offs because the banks are so shallow the fish move and hold in deeper water.
