Caught a lot of smaller fish on a spinnerbait but slowed down with a weightless senko and caught better fish as the day went on. They were on the outside edges of the buck brush.

Bluebird day with no wind. Had to slow way down. The wacky rigged Senko did the trick. It was a grind but you had to cover a lot of water and go a while between bites. The mastiff line has been working pretty well. Give this stuff a try. It does well in the knot department.

Very tough bite fishing in Buck Bay and the San Augustine Park areas. The only consistent bite came on the watermelon red baby brush hog Texas rigged with a 3/16-ounce tungsten weight. The best fish came on laydowns. Had to weed through a lot of dinks. Very low tournament weights.
