Fished a tournament on Saguaro and found bass schooling off of main lake points. Targeted fish below the schools of shad with a C-rig, dragging it pretty quickly and was able to bring in a 14.40lb limit for 4th place. Another notable pattern was targeting bluff walls with dropshots and I had a random 2lber flipping reeds.

Get up in the channel and find the breaks in clean and dirty water. Water temp drops significantly when they are releasing water but find those breaks early and late in the day.

Took Travis Hunter of the Colorado Buffalo's out for an afternoon adventure while he was in Az, and put him on a special dropshot bite at Saguaro, most guys are up river hoping to nab a giant with a wacky rig bite, but there is a nice lil Drop Shot bite producing more numbers and some serious slabs happening along shelves and cliff drops. Used KastKing Speed Demon Pro rods "shakey head" action (great dropshot rod with a backbone for those healthy tanks when they bite. Also used the new Assegai Rods from KastKing (new hotness) in the models "Sniper" and "Core Spinning" with Sharky III reels and MegaJaws Elite Spinning in the 2500 and 2000 series reels. Trimmed with either 13x Finesse Braid (best finesse braid on the market according to both Max Hernandez and Matt Shura) with a flouro leader. Other Set ups had the new KastKing Bill Dance TriPolymer line. lb tests ranged from 10-8lb. Dead Sticking was key with a very slow drag. No pops, hops, dings, or jumping the bait. The bass would barely peck at the bait if you were lucky, majority was just weight. Very lethargic bite but they still were chewing in the 110 degree heat. Golden Hour was the best bight while we were out.
