Started throwing the Ned rig and caught a few smaller fish.switched to the Ned bug and started immediately catching nicer quality bass. Can’t be afraid to cast super tight to cover.

Tried for crappies today on the rum river but I got this 20 inch smallie first time using shimanos new fluorocarbon carbon so it holds up pretty well. Gonna be trying it out more this season

Chill, cool day with moderate-low water flow. I caught a few smallie dinks with a ned rig setup. Wife was a bit more adventurous and threw some 4" paddle tails that was quite enticing for the river pikes! Along our paddling, I did notice quite a few pikes swimming along closer to the shallows, often away from the faster-moving current.
