Hard fishing with the pre-Spring cold front that moved through. The hot fishing just one week before turned off like a switch and the bass moved to deeper water in the river channel and dredged boat slips. Windy conditions made it almost unbearable on the water, but persistence paid off with a few bass in the boat. The bites didn't come often, but when they did, we caught suspended bass at around 11 feet on deep-dive crankbaits. Long casts past fish we found on the display, then stop-n-go once we were over suspended fish. Tough fishing, but patience got us a few in the boat.

Had a cold front the night before and the active fish weren’t feeding on tournament day. The most consistent way for me to get bites was working the Cut-R-Worm very slowly through lily pad stems and around gator grass edges. At times I was almost dead-sticking the bait, and when I picked up there was a fish there. The bites were very soft. This is a great worm for this type of slow fishing.

The lake was falling so it put the fish in a weird mood since they were wanting to spawn. They could be caught on outside edges of reed patches and the first drop-off leading to deeper water. They would bite white swim jigs as well but the Divine swim jig in Blacklight was the best producer.
