On the Roanoke River, many fish species such as gar, striped bass, largemouth bass, and bream can be caught. I almost caught a striped bass on the river near some rocks. About two feet from the shore, it got off. I was thrilled to be able to at least try to reel it in though. Thanks, tight lines and fish on!
