Water temps 63-65 degrees, fishing is very good on main lake shallow points with rock in 3ft or less. Inside of the main lake points has also produced some good fish. Bass are actively feeding, use top water walking baits such as spooks and fast retrieving baits like lipless crankbaits and shallow diving square bills in these areas.

Water temperatures are 80-82 degrees with the water level almost 5ft below pool. The bass are setting up on main lake rocky points and flats in 5-10 ft of water. Fish can be caught using topwater's early then switching over to slower presentations later in the day. Shakey heads with baby brush hog or worms works best. There is also a moving bite with shallow-medium diving crankbaits (DT6-DT10) in shad color in the same areas mentioned above.

The 5 inch Whopper Plopper is a fun bait to throw around big bass. The bone color is a safe bet for most lakes in the Texas area. Change the speed of the retrieve to find out what the fish like. Most of the time you can reel this lure just fast enough to make the distinctive plopping noise to trigger a topwater explosions. Higher the water temperatures work best for the Whopper Plopper, but it can work through most of the fishing season.

The bull worm got me a good bite on Richland Chambers. 1/2 oz. or 3/4 oz. weighted Carolina rig work well with this bait. Drag around rock piles 14-20 feet deep. Super glue the worm to the hook. Used 5/0 offset worm hooks with this size bait. Dip the tail in dye for more bites.
