Weather conditions: Sleet to rain High 38 degrees. Big bites were on points where laydowns and brush piles ranging from 2-5ft from bank. Smaller fish were from offshore ranging 10-12ft humps chasing baitfish. Prespawn females are roaming and starting to staged up shallow as they are about to burst. They are now waiting for the right conditions to spawn as buck bass are staged shallow.

This is a fun lake when the temperature starts to come up. I know Shakey head is my absolute go to and everyone is tired of hearing it, but it is always working. I found something mean along the way, snapped my braided line TWICE!!! My go-to spinner bait also did plenty today but unfortunately I didn't set deep enough and lost them trying to get them in the kayak. Be careful as you start to push into shore, there is about 10-15ft of rocks submerged. The areas that you can see tree tops are deep, roughly 45-70ft. I will say they didn't want to bite until the water temp got closer to 60.
