Went out looking for Bass and ended up getting into some nice Crappies. I caught 16 Crappies in the 12-13" range. Another dozen in the 10-11" range. I also caught a 15" fish which is my personal best.

We found submerged vegetation holding smaller, 1-2 pound fish on Ramsey. There were a few 3 pounders mixed in but the biggest bass were still sitting really shallow in matted grass and grabbed the Slobberknocker as soon as it dropped in about 2 feet of water. Could have been most jigs that could punch through the grass. Slobberknocker gave us highest versatility to fish in that super shallow water all the way to about 12 feet deep. We found bass in all water column zones. I went with the 1/2 ounce instead of the 3/8 to get down deeper in that 12 feet of water.

The glow spoon really made a difference at sunset. Ditched the wax worms and switched to a minnow head.
