Air temps- 40-50 degrees Winds 10-20 and sunny conditions After a large drop in temperature the last week the fish backed out of the shallow water. Most of the fish came on a jerkbait on the break line with relatively long pauses. The fish on the break were positioned on the color line and would ambush when the jerkbait came over the break. Also caught a few on a minimax up shallow in wind blown dirty water on a small secondary pattern I found.

High 40-low 50 degree water temps, air temp in mid 40s. Caught a ton of quality fish on main lake waupaca chain slow rolling a yum scottsboro swimbait along the deeper breaks adjacent to flats. Key depth was around 15-22ftow and I also picked up a few just pitching a 1/2 ounce queen jig with a chunk on the break line which got a couple of big bites.

Water temps low 50s with air temps in the low 50s as well. Locked a swim jig in my hand and fished what ever I saw in front of me. Deeper docks and brush got plenty of 2-4lb bites. Best bait of the day was a 3/8 ounce queen tackle swim jig that I trimmed up the skirt on to make it a more compact profile. Even though it’s pretty old school a zoom fat Albert grub is easily my favorite swim jig trailer for this time of year, it doesn’t make the swim jig rise near as much as a craw style trailer and doesn’t get thrown near as much as it should.
