We fished the river on October 23rd and the 24th. We caught quality fish in any pocket directly off the river that had an abundance of shad. A buzzbait or spook got it done in the morning while a chatterbait and spinnerbait were the ticket once the sun got up. All in all it was a good weekend on the river.

The fish were getting behind current breaks really heavily and had to make several casts to get them to bite. However, placed in the right spot of the tree it is deadly

We were throwing the near laydown wood on main river banks around 3-6 feet of water. We caught a mixed bag of largemouth and spotted bass using this technique.
