Had a short evening outing and found fish up shallow in calm bays. A few small males were locked on beds.

Found most fish up shallow halfway back into calm bays. Most fish caught on a jig off shallow stumps or bogs. Lots of fish in the 1.5 pound range but not much bigger.

Largemouth bass were tight to shoreline cover, especially if there was sticks, brush, or laydowns. Skipping a wacky rig as close as possible convinced a bunch of them to bite.

Lots of small fish caught on moving baits off the bank on the main lake. Bigger fish caught flipping lay downs or floating bogs with a jig.

50 fish day! Spent the morning flipping downed trees in 3-4 feet. Caught 2 bonus walleyes in the 16-17 inch range flipping shallow. In the afternoon switched to the floating bogs on the lake. Found almost all of our fish in shallow water with access to water in the 5-8 foot range. The bite was good all day but best in the early morning and at sundown. Best 5 went for 8 pounds 2 ounces and ended the day with a 37.5 inch northern.

Caught a few on whopper ploppers up shallow in the morning. Bite slowed down as it got hot. Started fishing over weeds in 6-7 foot of water around 7:30 and started crushing them. Had constant action for almost 2 hours.

Their is about 6 to 8 inches of ice all over the lake I've seen trucks on it but highly don't recommend it
