Morning topwater bite before the pleasure boaters hit the water has been on fire. Walking from deep to shallow over grass lines has provided some massive blow ups and multiple 3lb+ bass.

Bass could be had shallow with the wacky but the bigger bass came on dropshot. Only about 10” leader in deep weeds.

Bite was slower today than in the past few weeks. Water was more stained than usual. Found bigger bass right on the edges of weed lines.

The fall feed is in full swing. A good topwater bite can be had in the first hour or so of sunlight. Once that bite dies, lipless cranks with a yoyo retrieve or deep cranks fished shallow to deep will produce.
