Bite was slower today than in the past few weeks. Water was more stained than usual. Found bigger bass right on the edges of weed lines.

Bass could be had shallow with the wacky but the bigger bass came on dropshot. Only about 10” leader in deep weeds.

Fall transition is in full swing. Bass have definitely pulled back into the thicker, greener grass. Most effective has been casting into shallow with slow hops toward drop offs to the thickest clumps of submerged grass and ripping through. Also, immediately after the cast letting the jig sit for a few seconds has produced some bites as well.

9-3-21. Started the day @ 0900. It was a slow morning, the only bite was a squeaker from a dock. The wind picked up around 11am and I moved out to 8-10 ft. Fishing the white "Chatty Kathy" across the top of submerged grass. Over the next two hours, I was able to pick up 3 keepers and lost a fourth. And still got her on trailer before the rain!

The fall feed is in full swing. A good topwater bite can be had in the first hour or so of sunlight. Once that bite dies, lipless cranks with a yoyo retrieve or deep cranks fished shallow to deep will produce.

Morning topwater bite before the pleasure boaters hit the water has been on fire. Walking from deep to shallow over grass lines has provided some massive blow ups and multiple 3lb+ bass.

Per usual, tons of pressure and tons of submerged grass. Most currently caught slow rolling the shallows.
