Use you favorite jig. The jig I used isn’t listed so the finesse jig works too. I prefer a 1/2 size flipping jig, or a 5/16oz finesse is good.

Its been fun on pom de terre everything has been working but a motion fishing mo craw finesse jig has been my best bite. Starting to catch a few on the a rig, they are fairly shallow still and can also be caught with a spinnerbait. A wiggle wart and a rock crawler will get you lots on numbers of fish with a nice one here and there. Best bite has been on the main lake channel banks or back in the creeks on the secondaries. Jerk baits are also working back in the creeks.

I was able to get on a couple different patterns. I started the morning off covering water with topwater, chatterbait, and squarebill. I was catching good numbers of small ones on the bank but no size. So I moved out due to the water falling over the last week (0.75 ft) thinking maybe they had slid out to 4-10 foot. I started catching some small keepers skipping docks but not the size I was needing to win. Next I moved out to isolated brush piles in 8-12” and caught a 5.08 with the Texas rig. I didn’t have enough piles marked to run this pattern all day but kept looking for more near docks due to the sun coming out. I never got another good one in the boat but I think if you have piles found in that depth range and would run them all day you could put a quality bag together. Also think topwater bite will get good soon…….just need water to stabilize and have some more cool nights for it to get going. If you just want bites I would throw a squarebill and cover water. I probably caught 10 fish in the first 30-45 min but the biggest was 12”.

Fishing bluff walls with sharp drop offs at the mouths of creeks. Fish are starting to get out of the true summer bluffs and moving towards the mouths of creeks. Dragging a football jig on the drop offs will catch them when they’re moved up in 13-25ft. If they move out and suspend, throw a drop shot and a spoon over the schools

You can mix it up at pommee right now both the jerkbait and the arig are working well. The fish tend to setup shallower on pomee than most lakes so I would look aby deeper than 15 ft or so. If you wanna throw a jerk bait throw it up to the bank and work it back slowly to the boat. The mainlake is the best this time of year I wouldn't get to far away from the damn area.
