Water temp was 48 and I was fishing the inside weedline with the KVD 2.5. I got four bass in a ten minute stretch of a two hour trip. Other than that I caught a few small pike and lost a bass on a popper as it was getting dark. It’s November in Central MN, no complaints.

Fished with my brother tonight. Things were slow until the sunset and then my brother put on a clinic getting two 4lber and a 3lber with multiple other Platte Lake Specials. I wasn’t to be out done catching the nights big bass (4.67lbs) on my last cast of the night. We caught14 bass and 2 pike with the six biggest bass going 21.56lbs. I got one of my bass on a Toadz. A couple more on the Terminator Jig. All the rest of the fish were on Chatterbaits. Once again fishing 2-4’ in scattered cabbage along the inside weedline of a northern shoreline. Water temperature was 48 degrees tonight

Took a buddy out to the same stretch of northern shoreline with cabbage on it. Fished for a couple of hours until dark. 2-4’ of water wind blowing in and the bass were biting. We caught 21 bass and 4 pike. Four of the bass were over 3lbs and only two were under 2lbs. Basically it was Platte Lake Special night on Chatterbaits. Best 6 between the two of us weighed 19lbs.

Went out for two and half hours last night and fished until dark. I fished the inside weedline of a large weed flat along the north shoreline. I had a bunch of bites that didn’t hook up. I assume most of them were pike, but I had so many that some had to be bass. I landed 7 bass for the evening with 2.75lb bass coming on the Terminator Jig. The rest were on a Chatterbait. Two of those were over 4lbs and the final fish of the night was 3.84lbs. Best 6 went 19.59lbs.

Water Temperature
46°
The water temperature in Platte was back up to 46 degrees and bass were hanging shallow 2-3’ along the inside weedline along the northern shore. I got 6 bass that weighed 14.41lbs with the two biggest being barely above 3lbs. 5 of the bass fell to the Jackhammer and the first 3lber came on the Terminator Jig; both lures had a Z-Man Goat for a trailer. I did lose one that bit on a popper. I keep the popper handy in case baitfish start getting busted on the surface. There were two blow ups within casting distance tonight and I blew my only chance with a poor hook set. Bummer because it was a quality bass.

First trip out this week. Water temperature has fallen to 40.5-41. Fished for an hour and a half to dark. Fished a weed flat along the north shore. Got 2 hammer handle’s and the 30-inches on a spinner bait with Z-Man Goat trailer. Also fished a point on the north island, but didn’t get a bite, so I went back to the flat and caught my third pike. Hopefully the coming warm weather will have the bass more active. Got about what I expected this trip.

Water temperature was in the mid-fifties. Air temp 45. Fished the final hour and a half of daylight. Started on a wind protected flat and caught pike on the Big Blade Chatterbait, a wake bait, and spinner bait. Then with the sun about to set moved to points. Got three quality bass on a popper. Then I threw the Dark Sleeper which I just received and got four bass on that. I went and fished 3 more points getting a bite on the final one I hit. It was a 3.75lber that fell for the Big Blade Chatterbait. My best 6 for the night 16.77lbs. Glad I decided to head out. I will be building up a supply of those Dark Sleepers this winter.

I was out the past couple of nights enjoying the weather and catching bass mostly on top water in the slop. A lot of fish just slapping at the Toadz right now. And a fair number of pike stealing my rigs. Did get into a school of quality bass on the North end of the big island that fell for the Z-Man Big Blade Chatterbait with Z-Man GOAT for a trailer. Keep moving until you see baitfish. A lot of dead water out there and the bass are moving with the baitfish. I quickly moved through an area last night that was dead, which was full of fish a few nights ago.
